Description

Aerothan is a material that completely redefines the bicycle tube: extremely light, highly puncture-resistant, and designed for the lowest rolling resistance.

Aerothan tubes are about 40% lighter compared to Schwalbe Extralight tubes made of butyl. In addition to an extremely low rolling resistance at tubeless levels and has increased puncture protection.

Aerothan tubes consist of 100% thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), including the valve, and are therefore fully recyclable. Like all Schwalbe tubes, Aerothan tubes may be returned to Schwalbe at no cost using the tube recycling program. The material of used tubes is recycled to make sealing or insulation material.

**Aerothan Endurance Race Tube**

For road riding with tubes, the Aerothan tube is the first choice. It offers low rolling resistance with dynamic, smooth riding characteristics.

Compared to butyl tubes, a total weight reduction of 100 g may be achieved for the entire bike. Aerothan Tube Race offers not only reliable puncture protection but also safety when descending a mountain: Even when several emergency brakes are applied with rim brakes in a short sequence, one can count on its heat resistance capacities.

**Advantages**

* Extremely heat resistant
* Offers a stable ride even at low air pressures
* Minimal rolling resistance - maximum driving dynamics
* Easy mounting without slipping or jamming
* Consistently light
* 100% Recyclable
* Made in Germany

**Repair and tyre pressure**

* Use Schwalbe Glueless Patch, classic patches do not stick to the TPU material.
* No roughening required
* Do not use puncture sprays
* Do not use chemical cleaners
* Tire pressure can be based on the recommendations for a tubeless system
* Minimum pressures engraved on the Schwalbe tires are correct according to butyl tubes. These values can be undercut when using Aerothan
* Check the maximum rim pressure, if it is lower than the maximum tire pressure

**Intallation**

* When inflating the Aerothan tube outside the tire, it should not be inflated to more than 0.3 bar
* Avoid over-inflation and over-rapid inflation outside the tire, as the material expands with a delay.
* Inflating too quickly can lead to bubbles forming on the Aerothan tube the tube can then no longer be used
* Inflation with CO2 cartridge is only recommended when fully installed
* Re-installation is possible with the same or larger tire width (Note size information on the packaging)
* When converting from Tubesless to Aerothan: Thoroughly clean tire and rim and remove residues of sealing milk
* Aerothan tubes are compatible with rim tapes
